Established in 2024 under the affiliation of West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS), Belgachia, Kolkata. JISCOVAS is located at Mogra, near Mogra number 1 Gram Panchayat, one kilometre from Mogra railway station and about 60 kilometres from Kolkata, West Bengal. It is well connected by roads and railways that facilitates livestock owners to come smoothly from any parts of WB as well as India to avail the clinical facilities.

JISCOVAS's campus houses modern structures, well-equipped laboratories, and comfortable residential facilities for both students and faculty. The prime point is our institute and farms including fodder lands are in the same campus. Additionally, we have our own dairy farms and dairy processing unit together to render smooth hands on practical trainings.

At the core of JISCOVAS's facilities is the Veterinary Clinical Complex, featuring cutting-edge amenities like diagnostic laboratories, small and large animal X-ray machines, ultrasonography, physiotherapy equipment, and operation theatres for both small and large animals.

This complex serves as a hub for a diverse range of clinical cases, offering students valuable hands-on experience and exposure to various animal ailments and diseases.

To support academic endeavours, JISCOVAS hosts a state-of-the-art conference room, air conditioned lecture halls, and a well-stocked library. This dynamic infrastructure ensures a holistic educational experience for aspiring veterinarians.

In addition, our Livestock Farm Complex engages students in comprehensive animal rearing activities, fostering practical learning.

The Ambulatory Veterinary Clinic 24×7 (AVC 24×7) extends our commitment to community service, providing free veterinary services in neighbouring villages and gaushalas.

We actively organize clinical camps to prevent and eradicate animal diseases, prioritizing the welfare of animal health as part of our mission.
